Hand-Forged Chain: "Neck" Sells at Dazzle Edinburgh

I've just sold a piece at Dazzle Edinburgh—a sculptural link in oxidized silver hand-made chain with curved 3D fold links, exploring the line between adornment and structure. The work investigates how the neck functions both as a functional joint and a site for decoration, combining hand-forged chain link with sculptural dimensionality.

Exhibiting at Dazzle was about reaching people who understand chain craft beyond the standard loop. The response confirmed what I suspected: collectors are hungry for pieces where every link is considered—things with presence and weight.

The piece combines individually hand-forged links, each one curved and folded in three dimensions, creating shadow and movement. Every fold is deliberate. Every link is unique. It's the kind of work that only exists because I spent time understanding how metal folds and how chain can hold form.
