The Rhythm of Nature: How Ink and Observation Shape My Jewellery

To me, jewellery design is a fusion of vision and materiality. It is the moment where the structures my eyes are drawn to in the beginning of their transformation into metal and gemstone.

My process always begins with ink. I return to the same motifs again and again, redrawing them in endless iterations. This isn't just sketching; it is a never-ending observation of the rhythms found in botanical life. I am fascinated by the architecture of a stem, the delicate fold of a leaf, and the way these elements meet to form organic shapes.

These are structures our bodies and senses recognise instinctively. By wearing these forms, we tap into an ancient relationship with the natural world—a connection I strive to honour in every piece I create.
